S-10 Heaven
As I bought it, this is a 1993 Chevrolet S-10 Tahoe extended cab. It is equiped with the 4.3 liter V6 and 4 speed Automatic transmission. The Camaro style wheels are the original equipment wheels. They have a unique center cap that shows they are stock to the S-10. I am the third owner of the truck. Former owners have added the color matched LEER cap and the bug deflecter. They also added some really ugly floor mats that had S-10 in big, white letters. Those were the first things that got replaced. Second came the stock Delco tape player and speakers. I've replaced the tape player with a Panasonic CD player and replaced the dash 4 x 6 speakers with a pair of Blaupunkt two way speakers. I also disconnected the stock 4 x 10's. I'm not a fan of that size speaker, so they will remain in the truck, but unused. Residing in the extended cab portion is a custom box that I designed and built. This houses two 12" MTX Thunder 3000's, powered by a 150 watt per chanell Profile amp. Also a pair of three waySony Xplode 6 x 9's are located in it. This an isometric view of my box, designed on my computer using CADKEY98.
The Sony speakers are an integrel part of designing my trucks interior. The cones are made of a red polymer plastic that, when backlit, cast a red glow. My amp has a strip of red LED's that will also add to the effect. Future purchases will include a Sony Xplode 4 channel amp in the same red color. I'm leaving the stock interior alone. Thanks to my girlfriend's dad, I got new covers for my seats that exactly matched the originals. I covered the box with the same shade of gray carpeting already in the truck. Here are photos of the completed box installed in my truck.

Just the box, no speakers, amps, wiring, etc.Make me an offer!
See pics below for more detail.
Actually installing the box was a little tricky. I had to remove the passenger side seat and the jack. Temporarily, I used bricks to level the box with the raised portion of the floor. After a day of driving like this, I decided something more sturdy had to be done. I trip to a local hardware store solved the problem of getting hit when braking. I got a flat steel bar, cut it to length, screwed it to the box and then bolted it to the rear wall of the cab. The bolt holes for the cargo net are perfectly placed for holding my box back. I also made a support that fits under the box and fits flush to the contour of the floor. Now I stop without worry of getting hit in the back by a 150 pound box.
RECENT ADDITIONS
During a weekend trip to Cleveland, I stopped by a Summit Racing store and purchased a set of new mirrors. These Street Scene Mirrors really help the looks of the truck.
What was GM thinking when they slapped on those huge ugly mirrors?!?
Unfortunately I don't have pictures, but I've also added driving/fog lights, and neon rope lighting to my dash. At night the truck really lights up! I also purchased a set of Belltech 2" drop spindles. Although I'm waiting untill spring to install them, I couldn't pass up a bargain. By then I'll also have a set of blocks for the rear end. I wanted a subtle drop, but also retain the ability to pull a small trailer.
4/18/00 UPDATE
Got a set of blocks for the rear, but still nothing's put in. I've also redesigned my stereo setup. Soon I'll be making a down-firing box with lexan windows, that flows into a custom center console. CAD renderings are soon to come. Here is a night-time pic of my dash neon taken with my crappy digital camera.

UPDATE 6/16/00
Spindles and Blocks are in but sorry, no pics! :(
UPDATE 7/28/00
I got some film developed recently. These are some various shots of my completed door panels, fog lights, a small rust problem, and my rear end lowering equipment.
Since these were taken, I have removed the bug shield, and added a set of Diamondback Halogen Conversion Headlights with blue City Lights. This is a night time pic taken with my digital camera.
My next purchase will be a set of altezza style tails. It will look something like this:
This lenses are the coolest thing to hit the scene in a long time!
Can't you see this bagged and rollin' on 20's!
Let me know what you think of my work!
Check back for updates!
